Sportsmens Lodge offers multiple room types across four wings. The Courtyard Wing features eight rooms with antique furniture in a 100-year-old courtyard, including a Presidential Suite with a king bed, two sofa beds, and a bathroom with walk-in shower and Jacuzzi. Standard rooms include queen or king beds, A/C, flat-screen TVs, walk-in showers, safes, and coffee makers. The Modern Wing contains Junior Suites with king beds and bathtubs, plus a 900-square-foot Penthouse Suite with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, private bar, and enclosed sundeck with two Jacuzzis. Most rooms provide views of Parque Nacional or San José.

Dining and Social

The hotel features a bar with multiple TV monitors showing American sporting events. The restaurant serves American cuisine. The property is divided into four wings that share access to the bar, restaurant, and reception area.

Fitness and Recreation

A 350-square-foot fitness center includes a Body-Solid Universal machine with 21 exercises, spinning bikes, treadmill, workout benches, barbells, and exercise mats. Access is free for hotel guests from 8 AM to 8 PM daily. The hotel organizes day tours including rain forest exploration, aerial trams, zip lines, white water rafting on Pacuare River class 4 rapids, volcano visits to Irazú, Poás and Arenal, and beach trips to both Pacific and Caribbean coasts for swimming, snorkeling, or surfing.

Located in the Barrio Amón neighborhood, 0.5 km from Parque Nacional and National Museum of Costa Rica, 1 km from Plaza de La Cultura and National Theatre. The hotel is 24 miles from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). Airport transfers are available through fully insured, government-authorized drivers. Transportation services also offered to Escazú, Jacó Beach, Manuel Antonio Park, Arenal Volcano, and Guanacaste.

Fishing Charters Available

Dan Ross Sports Fishing offers charters for blue and black marlin, sailfish, tarpon, Roosterfish, and other species. Charters use vessels from 26 to 55 feet in length, operating from Los Sueños on the Pacific coast. Multi-day fishing trips can be arranged with return to San José for evening activities.
